DOTS

Intro
DOTS is a conceptual exploration project situated within the virtual museum MOHA (Modern History and Art Museum). Centered on a contemporary polka-dot art exhibition, the project targets young, art-loving audiences aged 18-35. It aims to explore how immersive online viewing experiences can stimulate user purchasing intent, and how customizable art souvenirs can further extend the commercial value of traditional artworks.

This project has not only reinforced my foundational UI design principles but also provided invaluable hands-on experience in developing commercial O2O mobile applications. My key achievement in this project was gaining precise control over component sizing hierarchies, as well as achieving a deeper understanding of color harmony and accessibility contrast. Furthermore, it sharpened my ability to manage information density, teaching me to exercise restraint with decorative elements to ensure they enhance—rather than distract from—the core content. Regarding areas for improvement, I believe the spacing and layout between interface components could be further refined for a more polished aesthetic. Additionally, within the e-commerce module—particularly regarding the customization and checkout flow for personalized souvenirs—I see potential to better align with established mental models and interaction patterns found in mature industry benchmarks. By adhering more strictly to Jakob's Law, I could further reduce user cognitive load and friction, ultimately enhancing the product's commercial conversion rate.
